Manonmaniam Sundaranar University
Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) is a public institution located in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India. Established on September 7, 1990, it was named after the Tamil scholar and poet Professor P. Sundaram Pillai, author of the verse drama Manonmaniam, from which the university derives its name. The university's motto is "In Pursuit of Excellence."MSU offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various faculties, including Arts, Science, Language, and Commerce. The university comprises 24 academic departments and has jurisdiction over 102 affiliated colleges spread across the districts of Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, and Kanyakumari.In addition to traditional degree programs, MSU provides vocational diplomas and distance education through its Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE). The university also offers online learning opportunities, catering to both conventional learners and working professionals.
